Did you know that over 90% of our funds come from donations? Ronald McDonald House Charities contributed seed money to get us started. Generous New York Tri-State area restaurant owners Co-op also provides a portion of our annual operating expenses. The remaining funds come from fundraisers and contributions from corporate sponsors and people like you.
Your support allows the Family Room to keep its doors open to families so they can be near their children while they are coping with illness or injury.

Be Our Guest Program
Your "Be Our Guest" donation will cover fees for families throughout the year. They will be “your guest” in one of our five bedrooms. Your name will be listed on our website and elegantly displayed as a “Be Our Guest” sponsor at the entrance to the bedrooms.

Be a Fundraiser
Many groups contribute to the continued operation of the House by conducting their own fundraising initiatives.
Birthday Party & Celebration Proceeds
Some people choose to celebrate a special holiday or honor a friend or family member by giving a donation to the Family Room.
Here are some ideas that people have come up with in the past:
- When celebrating a birthday, ask guests to donate a wish list item or make a monetary donation in lieu of a gift. It’s a special way to honor someone you care about.
- Collect wish-list items instead of having “Secret Santas” at the office during the holidays.
- In lieu of wedding favors, prepare a special poem with a note sharing that a special donation has been made by the bride and groom in honor of the wedding guests.
- Give a gift in memory or honor of a loved one.

Trike-a-thon
Pre-schools and daycares can participate in our Trike-a-thon. Contact us for a package of information on how to help the smallest of students learn about helping others in need.
